Coverage

If a medical emergency due to an accident or sudden illness should occur during a trip outside the province of Quebec, the medical/hospital insurance covers all costs incurred for emergency care, up to $5,000,000. This protection also includes a medical follow-up in Canada, following an accident or illness that required you to be hospitalized abroad and repatriated to Canada. You receive vital coverage, ensuring that you get the best possible medical care wherever you are. This coverage exceeds the benefits of the provincial health insurance plan.

Exclusions

In the three months preceding the coverage’s effective date, any illness, injury or state of health related to a medical condition for which the insured has consulted a doctor, was hospitalized, was prescribed treatment or medication or for which the dosage was changed.

Canada / USA Borders (groups)

Documents required to enter the United States

Canadian citizens must present one of the following documents to be able to enter the United States by land: http://www.asfc.gc.ca/
 
- a valid passport;
or
- a NEXUS card;

SCHOOL GROUPS
Canadian citizens 18 years of age or under who are travelling with a school or other organized group, under adult supervision with parental/guardian consent, may also present proof of Canadian citizenship alone. Passengers who are not Canadian Citizens must hold or acquire a visa waiver. To obtain one or to check if you are eligible, consult this Web site: http://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/#countries

CHILDREN
(Documents facilitating travel abroad with children).

The following documents may be required when entering another country with a child:
•    birth certificate indicating the names of the parents,
•    all legal documents pertaining to guardianship,
•    a parental consent letter (http://travel.gc.ca/travelling/children/consent-letter)
•    a death certificate, if one of the parents is deceased,
•    a status document issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada
 
If the child is travelling with only one parent, the consent letter that authorizes the trip must be signed and dated by both parents.

Cancellation policy for a day trip

Cancellation policy for a day trip:
•    No refund
•    If the trip is taken by another person: no fee (if the lift ticket is in the same age category). No notice is required for replacement.

Cancellation policy for overnight trips (groups)

CANCELLATION POLICY for an overnight trip (by car or coach) with lodging
This policy will apply if no other specific policy for the group is establish

•  50$ fee will be charged for a person switch (if the lift ticket is in the same age category) unless specified in the group specific policies
•    45 days or more before the departure date: 20% of the total cost of the package will be held back as reservation, unless specified in the group specific policies
•    44 days or less before the departure date: no refund

To cancel, you must contact the person in charge of the group. Be sure to have your invoice and confirmation number in hand.

We will provide a refund if a trip must be cancelled due to lack of participants.

General conditions

CANCELLATION by Express Tours
We commit to refunding if a day or overnight trip must be cancelled by Express Tours prior to the scheduled departure time.

Express Tours is not responsible for:
Any lost, stolen or damaged items or any bodily injury sustained during a day or overnight trip with lodging, as well as any bus-related mechanical failures, delays due to inclement weather, ski lift shutdown or closure and delays at customs.

Express Tours is not responsible for any expenses incurred in the event that you are unable to take the return bus back to your initial destination. If you cannot take the bus due to an injury, contact your insurance company. They can advise you about repatriation options.

COMPENSATION FUND
A total of $0.10 on every $100 charged is collected and sent to the Office de la Protection du Consommateur (consumer protection office, OPC) for deposit in the Fonds d'indemnisation de protection des clients d'agences de voyages (travel agency client compensation fund).
Under no circumstances does this replace medical/hospital insurance or cancellation protection.

CREDIT CARD
You agree to our reservation terms when you authorize us to use your credit card number to make a payment in full.
